Okunomatsu inherited traditional skills by their chief brewer from Northern Central Japan. They developed their confidence from practicing their craft for over 300 years. We have not rested on the laurels of our rich history and hard-earned reliability, but have contimued to develop and continue tradition and technology in our sake brewing.
Our Toji(master brewer) “Tonokawa” has been awarded 20 times Gold prize by Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyokai (the National Bureau’s Research Institute of Brewing.) He is the most Gold medal holder person in Japan.
